Quality Inspection – Hardeness & Crack Detection
Visual inspection is carried out after shot blasting. PDI (pre dispatch inspection report) is done & sent along with material to the customers. Brinell hardness tester for 3000kg load & 10mm dia is used for hardness checking. Magnetic partical TEST (MPI) is done for all functionally critical forging as customer’s requirement.
In-House CNC Machining Department
Well equipped CNC-VMC-VTL machines are available Ready to use of components. Contracer: CV-2000 (Mitutoyo) are available for precision component measurement. Marking machine with column frame is used for tracebility.
Shot Blasting & Fettling: Post Operation
In tubler shot blasting machine, forging surface de- scaling operation is done. To avoid pit marks proper grade of shots is uses. 100% fettling is done for flash projection, burr, chopping etc.
In-house Heat Treatment
Heat treatment cycles are recorded & controlled.
Forging
Forgings operation are performed with hammers & presses includes upsetting, ring rolling which execute in one heating cycle to gether with finish forging. Power presses are used to remove excess material in subsequent trimming operation.
Heating
Cut bars are heated in oil fired furnace for CDF & Ring rolling forgings.
In-house Cutting
Bars are cut as per requirement on band saw & billet shearing machine.
In-house Raw Material Testing
Chemical analysis is done by spectrometer of each heat. Other testing facilities are available like hardness & mechanical tests etc. Metallurgical microscope with image analyzer software is available to check micro structure, grain size after heat treatment.
Die Design & Inspection
Dies for forging, trimming die punch are sinking on VMC. Finished impression of dies is 100% dimensionally checked by layout inspection on pop mold.
